セガPCが「AD＆D」の第2弾となる
「プレーンスケープトーメント」発売

　セガPCは3月31日，超ヒット作「バルダーズ・ゲート」に続く，Windows用RPG「AD＆D」（アドバンスド・ダンジョン＆ドラゴンズ）の第2弾・「プレーンスケープトーメント」を発売する！

「プレーンスケープトーメント」は，「AD＆D」の世界観を忠実に再現した作品で，「バルダーズ・ゲート」同様，難しい数値処理はPCに任せ，簡単なマウス操作でゲームを進められるシステムを採用。

「バルダーズ・ゲート」で不満とされた，キャラの移動速度が遅いという点は，キャラクターに「走る」というアクションを加えることで快適化が図られた。

　さらに，日記ではクエストをクリアしたのか分かりずらいという点は，クリアしていないクエスト一覧の表を用意して見やすくするなど，さまざまな改良が行われている。これらの改良により，ファンはもちろん，初心者も安心して「AD＆D」の世界を楽しむことができるぞ。

　また「プレーンスケープ トーメント」は，「バルダーズ・ゲート」がファンタジー調に仕上がっているのに対し，「AD＆D」の別世界をコミカルに描写していることが特徴。今回は，ダークな世界を形成しており，街にはゾンビやどの種族か判別つかないような生物が徘徊する世界でストーリーが展開する。主人公が人間であるのかさえ不透明だというから，徹底している。

　さらに，キャラクターのサイズを一回り大きくし，各キャラクターごとに豊富なアニメパターンを用意。魔法による視角効果も強化され，臨場感のある迫力の戦闘シーンを実現するなど，グラフィックの向上も見逃せない。

　CD-ROM4枚組で，価格は7,800円。
