セガは，Windows用RPG「Baldur's Gate II Shadows of AMN 完全日本語版」を7月6日に発売することを発表した。価格は9,800円。

「Baldur's Gate II Shadows of AMN」は，「Best Games of 2000（USA Today）」など，海外で数々の賞を受賞した正統派RPG。前作から数カ月後のある日，バルダーズ・ゲート南方の都市AMNで主人公は，何者かに誘拐されてしまう。お馴染みのNPCミンスクらと脱出を図るが，その途中にイモエンが誘拐。この事件をきっかけに，物語は急展開の様相を呈していく……。

　前作をプレイしていれば，今までのキャラクターをインポートして使用することが可能。NPC1人1人の思考ルーチンも改善されているので，キャラクターの個性を楽しみながら旅を共にできる。さらに，ストーリー自体もプライヤーの選択により複雑に分岐。何回遊んでも飽きることなく楽しめるのも嬉しい。

　また，同時発売となる限定版（1万800円）は，日本オリジナルのボーナスデスクが同梱に。このディスクには，英語版「Baldur's Gate II Shadows of AMN」の予約特典と，コレクターズ・エディション付属のボーナスディスクに入っていたレア・アイテム計20個が収録。ほかにも，日本語ボイスデータやサウンドトラック，オリジナルイラストなどが収めれているというので，ファンなら絶対に見逃せないね。
